Hundreds of Danish Muslims have been demonstrating in Copenhagen against the reprinting of a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad they consider offensive.
All major Danish newspapers decided to republish it after Danish intelligence said it had uncovered a plot to kill one of the cartoonists.
Protestors marched in the capital's streets shouting "God is Great!" and "Freedom of speech is like a plague!".
But the overwhelming mood was not so much anger but weary resignation; a sense that they have been through this crisis once before and nothing has been learnt.

The riots which started six nights ago (Feb. 9th) in Nørrebro have spread out to the rest of Copenhagen and other cities around the country.
Witnesses in one case described the rioters as “second genreation immigrants”. The riots included burning cars and trash containers, throwing petrol bombs at schools and municipal buildings, and throwing stones at police and emergency services.
The worst hit was the Værebroskolen in the Copenhagen suburb of Bagsværd, where ten classrooms were burned down. The fire brigade was called in to deal with at least 20 fires in the city. Berlingske Tidende offers a picture gallery of the fires in Greater Copenhagen.
Meanwhile, Chief Inspector, Henrik Olesen of the Copenhagen police told AFP that at least 11 cars were torched in different Copenhagen neighborhoods and 10 in the nearby town of Kokkedal.
Olesen said that they had no idea why the youths were rioting. He said, “I think it’s because they’re bored. Some people say it’s because of the cartoons but that’s not my opinion.”
The blasphemous cartoon was reprinted this week when Danish police discovered a plot to kill the cartoonist.
This was followed by the apprehension of three people for planning the murder, including two Tunisians who have lived in Denmark for more than seven years.
