"we believe everyone has something to contribute and deserves the
opportunity to reach their God-given potential, from the boy whose descendants arrived on the Mayflower to the Latina daughter of migrant
workers. We’re all God’s children, and we’re all Americans."
Setting aside the fact that he meant ancestors and not descendants.
And ignoring his suggestion that, essentially, everyone- everywhere on planet earth is an American...,
What does he mean by arrived?
If by America he means (as most people understand it to be) the United States of America, then, no, the boy who arrived "here" on the Mayflower did not arrive at America.
It's rather difficult to arrive at a nation that does not exist. And as any mildly astute adult with an IQ greater than his shoe size can attest to, America would not come into existence until a century and half AFTER the Mayflower arrived.
The boy on the mayflower was a British colonist moving from one part of the empire to another.
His descendants CREATED America from 1776 to 1787, and created it in an overtly and implicitly racial paradigm in which, on one side was the White race, and on the other side everyone else.
And Providence (God if you choose) did certainly favor this Imperialistic and racist nation above all others.
Odd that the christian never seems to take note of the fact that the more "diverse", tolerant and racially sensitive we try to become, the more debauched, perverted and totalitarian our entire society (from top to bottom) gets.
To put it another way, my (and many other's) ancestors did not immigrate to the United States, as there was no United States to immigrate to at that time.
No, my ancestors CREATED the United States of America from scratch, carved out of a primitive wilderness sparsely populated with savages, who, when they were not busy murdering and cannibalizing one another, were taking pot shots at the White man and all that he represented.....that being Law & Order.
