The number of native- and foreign-born people marrying outside their race fell from 27 to 20 percent for Hispanics and 42 to 33 percent for Asians from 1990 to 2000, according to Ohio State University sociologist Zhenchao Qian, who co-authored a study on the subject. The downward trend continued through last year, Qian said.

Interracial marriage is a byproduct of slim numbers on one side or the other. When numbers increase on the slim side, they begin to find mates among their own because they now can.
Of course the actual numbers of mentally ill individuals who engage in interracial marriage is increasing because the over all numbers of people residing in America is astronomically increasing.
More numbers adds more numbers into every category. More automobile accidents, more murders, more idiots etc....
But the percentages tell the tale. And the percentage of the socially retarded who engage in miscegenation is decreasing.
And as has been said here before, the existence of mixed race peoples doesn't represent some sea change in society. It's just more non-Whites.
