from V-Dare,
Because of the peril of swine flu, Joe Biden said yesterday, he would urge his family to stay out of "confined places" like airplanes and subways here in the United States.
Yet, the Obama administration will not consider closing the United States to airplanes and buses coming in from the epicenter of the epidemic, Mexico City.
Does this contradiction make sense?
America, at this writing, has recorded fewer than 100 cases of the swine flu. One victim has died, a 2-year-old Mexican boy. He was flown out of Mexico City to Matamoros, crossed over with his parents into Texas, was taken to a hospital in Brownsville, terribly sick, then transferred to a Houston hospital. There he died.
Clear from this is that Mexicans, seriously ill, may head for the United States, where the medical care is known to be far superior and also free for the indigent.
This is understandable.
What is not is the United States conducting business as usual on the Mexican border, when tourists are fleeing Cancun, cruise ships refuse to put in to Mexican ports, Texas is closing schools, Europeans are shutting airports to flights from Mexico City and Obama is telling parents to pull the kids out of school if the flu shows up.
Is this a serious medical menace to Americans or not?
....
However "mild" Mexican swine flu may prove to be, it is wreaking havoc in Mexico. And, already, that country is suffering from a collapse in the price of oil it sells to the United States, a reduction in the remittances sent back from Mexican workers in the United States due to the downturn here and a collapse in tourism due to the cartels war that took 6,000 lives last year.
Now, with tourists fleeing, hotels emptying out and athletic events being canceled, Mexico could be hit with a second devastating economic blow, from which she does not soon recover.
In January, the U.S. Joint Forces Command identified [PDF] two large nations in real danger of "rapid and sudden collapse."
On April 9th I wrote the following in regards to a news article on The First President of the Banana Republic of North America's intentions on Amnesty for the roughly 40 million invaders currently ravaging the nation,
"Mr. Obama plans to speak publicly about the issue in May, administration officials said, and over the summer he will convene working groups, including lawmakers from both parties and a range of immigration groups, to begin discussing possible legislation for as early as this fall."
-The New York Times
Why May?
May Day, that's why!
Of course this is all rhetoric, as we know. For the past 20 years illegals have literally been flooding into the United States and yet there has been no move by the government to stop the flood and deport them (even after 9-11).
So Amnesty has been un-official policy for five administrations beginning with Reagen.
S0 why now?
May Day!
The Powers that be know that civilizational entropy is speeding up. Our southern border could very well become even more of a thirdworld war zone that it already is.
So this is the administration giving the invaders a pat on the back without laying down any concrete proposals to keep the future at bay as long as possible (and that may be in expectation of other calamities on the horizon that would forestall Amnesty even further and continue the status quo)
Either way our leaders know that the current decrepitude of American society is to such an extent that any policy promise/deal/arrangement can be made under the fog of a falling Empire.

Of course I may have had things bass akwards.
I can already hear the lefty chorus singing,
After all, if North America were a fully integrated unit where the same quality of preventative health care ruled all, then such potential pandemics could be all but prevented from developing.
Of course it doesn't matter that every single attempt at a multi-racial empire down through the ages was, century after century, a war zone that was riddled with disease and poverty and which necessitated an absolute, cult of personality, dictator to rule over and artificially sustain.
The peoples of the Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire, the Soviet Empire, nation states such as the forcibly cobbled together Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, British ruled India etc...etc... all chose to segregate themselves ethnically when freedom from tyranny finally came to them.
That theme has recurred countless times throughout history.
In fact, the struggle on the part of groups to preserve their ethnic identity against the tyranny of those who attempt to enforce multiculturalism and "diversity" has comprised about 90% of human history.
As the old saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
