Human geneticists have reached a private crisis of conscience, and it will become public knowledge in 2010. The crisis has depressing health implications and alarming political ones. In a nutshell: the new genetics will reveal much less than hoped about how to cure disease, and much more than feared about human evolution and inequality, including genetic differences between classes, ethnicities and races.
(here is a second link in case the other doesn't work)
So, truth is something we should fear?
What happened to, "knowledge is power!"
Still, it's absurd to think that we should all be on the edge of our seats in anticipation of genetic research confirming what we can all see with our own eyes, day-in and day-out, in a thousand varying contexts and situations.
The stark difference between the civilization Europeans (aka, White people) built verses the one Africans built (or rather, didn't build) is a rather large elephant in the PC show room. As is the difference between White dominated America vs. the majority mixed race nation of Mexico.
One is a superpower, the other is a part of the third world.
Race is not a social construct, societies are racial constructs.
And as cliamtegate is illustrating, the truth cannot be denied and hidden away forever.
It's interesting to note that 2010 is the predicted levee break on this information, as that is also when the new census takes place.
