BOSTON – In an epic upset in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to win the U.S. Senate seat held by the late Edward M. Kennedy for nearly half a century, leaving President Barack Obama's health care overhaul in doubt and marring the end of his first year in office.
A suit won an office!
Sorry not to be excited, but come on, he's just another suit.
They all have an interchangeable veneer of "say what you want to here" bullshit about them, so why the hype?
A Republocrat won a seat from another Republocrat.
I mean that may excite some people but for those of us who were around last election cycle (all of two years ago) it's not exactly original.
For those imagining some sort of GOP salvation this year, remember back on 1994 and the "Contract with America".
That sure changed things didn't it!
A few years after that we got 'Dubya'.
And then with Republicans in charge of the White House and the Senate, abortion was brought to an end, "gay marriage" legislation was forever vanquished, America stopped its reckless nation-building programs, the country didn't go deeper into crippling debt and 30 million illegal immigrants didn't enter the country raping, plundering and slaughtering to their hearts content.
But never mind all that, a suit won an office somewhere!!!
