Sola Scriptura Is Witchcraft...

In response to someone (you know who you are)

The idea of reading through a mystical text for special knowledge of the supernatural is an inherently occultic notion.

The idea that you can uncover supernatural knowledge (aka, God’s Will) by studying a sacred text, is a purely occultic notion.

Concepts such as hermeneutics and exegesis of a sacred text come straight out of Black Magic, Sorcery and Alchemy.

Hermeneutics and Exegesis are EXPLICITLY designed tools for divination and control of supernatural forces via conjuring, by understanding and reading certain words from a mystical text.

In fact Hermeneutics derives from Hermes - a god who was seen as acting as the doorway between man and the mystical world of the spirits.

Hermes is a very important figure in occultic circles.

If you go back through the history of Alchemy, Esoterism and Magic you will see all this as clear as day.

Then there’s the idea of “quote casting”. This is where protestants quote a verse or passage from the bible to score a point for their position: so they can win an argument or reinforce a dogmatic position to affect a shutting up or shutting down of an opponent.

This is no different than a witch casting a spell -which always involves quoting from some mystical text too.

I could go on.

And before you tell me that Jesus quoted scripture to the devil, I would remind you that Jesus was the 'Word made Flesh' and his quotations were in reference to him personally fulfilling divine promises and prophecy. Ponder on that for a few moments.

In this, the Orthodox and Catholics are right, Christ founded a Church, not a book.

And that church was meant to be a governing body with power and authority to rule.

See the Council of Jerusalem, in which the Apostles debated the issue of circumcision. They, the leaders of the church, decided the issue and then sent out letters to the churches across the world carrying their instructions which all churches were to implement.

The leaders in Jerusalem decided the issue, not the local churches or the individual.

Also, there is the issue of the disciples taking it upon themselves to cast lots to replace Judas.

Why even replace Judas?

Why did they continue to set themselves apart from the other followers of Jesus, from among whom Matthias was taken?

Again, this idea of every Tom, Dick and Harry sitting around “studying” a religious text to gain “understanding” is 100% occultic.

Sola Scriptura comes directly, and wholly, out of medieval preoccupation with Witchcraft.
