Second Hand Freedom...

Smoking has been banished in public spaces where pornographic images and subversive, Marxist propaganda inundate the senses round the clock.

Can we regulate culture?
Music?
Movies?
Literature?
Journalism?
Etc.?

Yes we can.

And yes we should.

But what about freedom of choice? If you don’t like the music/movie/show, don’t listen.

No, see I don’t have a choice. When I am out in the store, a restaurant, a hospital, a street corner or even (if a car drives by blasting its radio) in my own yard I am forced to endure hideous shit that I detest and that assaults and harms my family.

Just like second hand smoke.

And America’s democratic pop culture is far more poisonous and deadly than tobacco or alcohol.

There used to be an old saying: “You’re freedom ends where my nose begins”.

There cannot be ‘personal freedom’. When thieves or murderers try to live otherwise, we intervene and punish them.

Real freedom is being unrestrained to fulfill the duties and obligations you have to your family and friends.

Real freedom is a life of burden and responsibility-of obligations and duties. It is living a life of self-sacrifice -of NOT indulging in your personal wants.

But Personal Freedom is anti-freedom. Prisoners have personal freedom. The dead have personal freedom.

And that is the end result of personal freedom: bondage and death.

The embrace of personal freedom is like the embrace of a python.
